Good morning and happy Sunday! Hope your weekend is going well. It’s been cool (ish) and gray and drizzly here so…a good day to stay inside!
My Birthday card today is the polar opposite of “gray” and “drizzly” – thanks to the uber-colorful Full of Life 6″ x 6″ DSP – and a bunch of fun from the new Round We Go bundle. Take a look-see:
Right!? How fun is that!? 
The layout for this one was inspired by the CASE the Designer challenge at the Global Design Project this week.
I started by adhering a piece of Full of Life 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of a Blueberry Bushel card base using Liquid Glue.
Using the long die in the Round We Go die set, I cut out two long strips of Full of Life DSP. You need TWO of them to make a single pinwheel.
I assembled the pinwheel using Liquid Glue to adhere the two strips together. Then I cut out a 1 3/4″ circle of Pretty In Pink CS – using the Online Exclusive 1 3/4″ Circle Punch.
I put Stampin’ Seal + all over the cardstock circle and then used it as the base for the pinwheel. Y’all – there’s not really a way to describe how to do that in written words so…check out the video! It’s pretty near the start of the video – at about 4: 50 in! That really is the best way to see how to do it!
I stamped the large flower from Round We Go in Pretty in Pink ink on a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock and cut it out with the largest die in the set.
Next, I cut out a bunch of flowers – pointy-tip ones and round-tip ones – from Pretty in Pink cardstock (and one from a piece of the Full of Life DSP). I also cut several flower “middles” and a couple of the embossed circles.
I used Liquid Glue to assemble all the flowers – and then adhered them to the card front in a fun collage with more Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Round We Go sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink. Using Paper Snips, I cut out the two words and then adhered them to the big pinwheel with Liquid Glue!
I added some Granny Apple Green Transparent Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped a second Round We Go sentiment in Blueberry Bushel on a Basic White panel. I added the smaller flower in Pretty in Pink – with a Peach Pie middle.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Blueberry Bushel card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the small flower and middle in Pretty in Pink and Peach Pie on the front…
…and more of the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Y’all – this is a bundle you MAY have “flown over” when going thru the catalog. But…go take another look! The Round We Go stamp set has the sweet flowers AND a bevy of really good sentiments – with lots of versatility for ALL the celebrations in your life! And the fun Full of Life DSP – it’s a long way out of my comfort zone – but…man. I really love it. SOOO much color to play with!
